CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Halle Berry is paying up big time in her child custody settlement. She has to pay her ex $!6K every month for the next 13 years. Family lawyer, Nicole Sodoma, says this is an example of the level playing field for moms and dads in the courtroom.
There’s no longer a maternal preference in North Carolina.
Sodoma sees an equal amount of men and women when it comes to custody issues.
She says the amount paid will depend on the child’s needs.
