Β CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An accidental house fire at 2839 Mayflower Rd. started in the attic because of an electrical issue. The Charlotte Fire Department was alerted about the fire just before 3 a.m. Saturday.Β
The family of four, 2 adults and 2 children, escaped the fire without injury. The estimated damage is $30,000.
The damage is mostly in the attic with some smoke and water damage below.Β
The American Red Cross responded to the fire and offered the family food, shelter and clothing.Β
