Β CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A house fire at 7300 Riding Trail Road broke out around 11:30 a.m. Saturday with three people still inside.
Charlotte Fire Department responded to the home and 23 firefighters were able to contain the fire in 11 minutes. No one was injured.
Fire fighters say the fire appears to have started in the kitchen and then spread throughout the house.
The fire left extensive damage on the inside of the home and fire fighters had to cut a hole in the roof.Β
The amount of damage has not yet been determined. The renters did not have renters insurance.
The American Red Cross did not respond to the fire since the residents had friends and family in the area.Β
