Β CHARLOTTE, NC —Β The suspect in a southwest Charlotte woman’s murder is in custody Monday night after wrecking his car in South Carolina. Β CMPD is now waiting for Jimmy Estes to get out of the hospital to serve murder warrants in the death his girlfriend.Β
Officers found the body of 52-year-old Frances Gutnick Monday afternoon. Β Police say Estes and Gutnick got into an argument, which then turned violent. Β Police found Gutnick about a half mile from her house on Buckland Road. Β That’s near the Catawba River.
