CHARLOTTE, N.C. — American pride was felt across the country for the World Cup, as thousands tuned in to watch United States of America take on Portugal.
Many local sports bars got in on the World Cup action like Jackalope Jacks in Elizabeth who were decked out for the big soccer party.
Even though the game ended in a tie, fans say they’re pumped for the next match; “We’re Americans, we don’t give up! We never give up!” sports fan, Clint Bollinger says.
The road continues for U.S.A. The team will face Germany on Thursday. If U.S.A wins or ties, they will go through to the next round.
