SALISBURY, N.C. — Police found body of 36-year-old Shanta Lomax after responding to a call for gunshots on the 900 block of East Lafayette Street just after 11 p.m. Monday.
Police say when they arrived, they found Lomax lying behind apartment 952 after he was shot to death.
Lomax lived in Alabama but was visiting his hometown in Salisbury.
The scene is under investigation by Salisbury Police Detectives.
