SALISBURY, N.C. — Police say a shooting in Salisbury left a man visiting from Alabama dead. Officers responded to a call in reference to shots being fired on E. Lafayette Street.
When they arrived on the scene they found 36-year-old Shanta Lomax dead. Lomax was originally from Salisbury but moved to Alabama and was in town visiting.
No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
