UNION COUNTY, NC — The fallout continues in the Wanda Sue Larson investigation. WCCB has learned that Larson’s boss at the Union County Department of Social Services has been demoted.
Kevin Williams was placed on investigatory suspension in February. In late May he was demoted from Social Work Program Manger to Social Worker. He also took a pay cut of more than $13,000.
Larson, a Social Work Supervisor, was fired in November after a boy in her care was found chained to a porch with a dead chicken tied to his neck.
She remains in jail on multiple child abuse charges.
