22-Year-Old Charged After Fatally Shooting His Cousin In The Stomach

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Timothy Glover, 22, has been charged in relation to his cousin’s death that happened on June 9. 

Glover and his 23-year-old cousin Jacob Bryant were drinking liquor when a shotgun in Glover’s possession fired into Bryant’s stomach. 

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the reported shooting accident at 5230 Woodleaf Rd. around 11:10 p.m.

EMS took Bryant to the Rowan Regional Medical Center where he died shortly after from the gunshot wound.

Detectives thought the weapon used was a .410 shotgun but determined after the investigation that the gun was a ‘sawed-off’ 20 gauge shot gun. 

The gun is considered an illegal weapon and was recovered. Detectives determined that Glover was impaired and acted carelessly with the shotgun.

Glover has been charged with felony involuntary manslaughter and felony possession of a weapon of mass death and destruction. Glover turned himself in for the warrants.

He was placed under a $25,000 secured bond.
