BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University Student Samuel Luellen, 24, was charged with one count of felony second degree rape Wednesday after police received a sexual assault case.
Luellen is accused of raping and assaulting a 22-year-old acquaintance who is also a student at Appalachian State.
Luellen is scheduled to appear in court in Watauga County on July 30. He is under a $125,000 secured bond.
