SPARTA, Ky. (AP) β There will be racing under the lights tonight when Brad Keselowski leads the Sprint Cup drivers to the green flag for the 400-miler at Kentucky. He won the race two years ago. Points leader Jeff Gordon will start right behind Keselowski in an effort to earn his first win at Kentucky Speedway.
PITTSBURGH (AP) β Bernhard Langer has his sights set on a first Senior Players Championship title as he takes the lead into today’s third round. Langer already has two major titles on the Champions Tour. The two-time Masters champ holds a two-shot edge on Bill Glasson and Doug Garwood.
ROGERS, Ark. (AP) β Michelle Wie (WEE) is in position to make it back-to-back tournament wins heading into the second round of the LPGA NW Arkansas Championship. The newly crowned U.S. Open champ trails leader Alena Sharp of Canada by one shot.
NEW YORK (AP) β Masahiro Tanaka takes a second try at becoming the major league’s first 12-game winner when he gets the start for the Yankees against Boston tonight. The 11-2 Tanaka is coming off his second loss of the season, but still leads the American League with a 2.11 ERA.
