CHICAGO, IL – The boyfriend of a missing Charlotte teacher will likely remain in Chicago this weekend, awaiting extradition.
CMPD confirms they have detectives in Chicago following the Bianca Tanner, and they have interviewed Angelo Smith Jr.
U.S Marshals arrested Smith in Chicago Thursday. He’s charged with Misdemeanor Deliquency of a Juvenile in connection with the Tanner investigation.
Smith was the last person to see Tanner when she left their apartment in the Druid Hills neighborhood three weeks ago Sunday. He reported her missing the next day.
There’s been no activity on her cell phone or bank accounts and CMPD is calling this a homicide investigation.
