CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMPD set up a checkpoint on the 6600 block of West W.T. Harris Blvd Saturday night and arrested seven people for DWI. There was a total of 59 charges.
Four people were charged with open container, seven had a suspended license, 16 had no license, 12 people had registration/inspection related charges, one person was charged for drugs, two people were charged for possessing alcohol under 21 and 10 people had other traffic charges.
The checkpoint was active until 3 a.m. Sunday.
