MIAMI (AP) β€” Chris Bosh has joined Dwyane (dwayn) Wade and LeBron James in opting out of his contract with the Miami Heat. The move was not unexpected, and gives the Heat a gigantic amount of financial flexibility to shop with when the free-agent window officially opens at midnight Tuesday. LeBron James opted out of his contract on Tuesday, and Dwyane (dwayn) Wade did likewise on Saturday.

UNDATED (AP) β€” The Netherlands and Costa Rica have advanced to the World Cup quarterfinals. The Dutch trailed 1-0 in the 88th minute before scoring twice in a 2-1 comeback against Mexico. Costa Rica beat Greece 5-3 in a penalty shootout after playing to a 1-1 tie.

MIAMI (AP) β€” The Oakland Athletics have placed Josh Reddick on the 15-day disabled list after he aggravated a knee injury in Saturday’s 7-6 victory over Miami. Reddick had just been activated after spending three weeks on the disabled list with a hyperextended right knee. He’s hitting .229 with four homers and 24 RBIs in 54 games this season.

BETHESDA, Md. (AP) β€” Justin Rose won the Quicken Loans National at Congressional in a playoff over Shawn Stefani. Rose two-putted for par on the final hole, while Stefani made double bogey. Both were 1-under in the final round and 4-under through regulation.

PITTSBURGH (AP) β€” Bernhard Langer made a short birdie putt on the second hole of a playoff with Jeff Sluman (SLOO’-mihn) to win the Senior Players Championship. The victory is the 56-year-old Langer’s third of the year and his third major title on the Champions Tour. The two-time Masters champion shot an even-par 70 to finish at 15-under 265 at Fox Chapel.
