CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The deadline for victims to file claims for compensation in the Eugenics Program is here. The state has set aside $10 million for victims. The NC DOA’s Chief Operating Officer details the filings thus far and the department’s efforts to reach victims.

COO Dee Jones says they have to compare filings to records. Payments will depend on how many people end up seeking compensation.
