CMPD: Angelo Smith A ‘Person Of Interest’ In Case Of Missing Bianca Tanner

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —  Police are calling Angelo Smith a “person of interest” in the case of missing girlfriend Bianca Tanner.

Smith walked outside of CMPD headquarters after being questioned. He was taken to the Mecklenburg County jail.

Chief Rodney Monroe says that Smith has “misled and misdirected” them.

Smith arrived in Charlotte early Tuesday morning after waiving extradition in Chicago Monday.

CMPD issued a warrant for Smith’s arrest last Monday on one charge of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

US Marshals picked Smith up Thursday in Homewood, Illinois, near Chicago. Smith reported Tanner missing on June 8 and is the last person to see her alive.
