CHICAGO, IL — The boyfriend of missing teacher Bianca Tanner has waived extradition from Chicago.  Monday, CMPD told WCCB Charlotte there is no time frame for when Angelo Smith, Jr. will be brought back.  If Smith is not extradited in 30 days, he will be released.

CMPD issued a warrant for Smith’s arrest last Monday for one charge of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.  US Marshals picked him up Thursday in Homewood, Illinois, near Chicago.  Smith reported Tanner missing on June 8.  He’s the last person to see her alive.

CMPD calls the case a homicide, but have not named Smith a suspect.
