
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after they were called to the scene of a shooting in north Charlotte. Officers responded to the call around 11:30 a.m. Monday on North Tryon Street near Austin Drive.
They did not find a victim or a suspect at the scene but reports claim someone showed up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to their hand a short time.
Witnesses claim six shots were fired and the suspect fled the area in a car. The victim is expected to survive.
