CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A popular east Charlotte road will be closed over the weekend.
Crews will close outbound Central Avenue at North Sharon Amity at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 11th and will remain closed until 6 a.m. on Monday, July 14th.
During the same time period, northbound North Sharon Amity Road at Central Avenue will be reduced to one lane. Inbound Central Avenue at North Sharon Amity will also be reduced to one lane.
Crews will be working on a sanitary sewer line. Officials urge motorists to use alternate routes to avoid heavy congestion. CATS will not be affected.
