CHARLOTTE, NC — A Charlotte father is begging for answers about where his missing 17-year-old daughter is. Alyssa Webb did what so many teens do: she went to the mall Monday, and hasn’t been seen since.
In mall surveillance pictures of Alyssa, you can see she’s with a guy with dreads wearing jeans and a plaid shirt. Her father, Tony Webb, says no one among Alyssa’s family, or her friends, know who that guy is. At one point, he apparently puts Alyssa’s phone in his pocket.
Her dad was supposed to pick her up Monday at 8pm. He got there at 8:18 and started texting her, but never got a reply. Her phone and iPod have been turned off. Alyssa’s dad says this isn’t like his daughter.
“Definitely. Definitely. She contacts us, anywhere that she’s going. If she’s running late, she’ll text, ‘I’m gonna be a couple minutes late,’ so we don’t worry. She’s a good kid,” said Tony.
Alyssa Webb had broken up with her boyfriend two days before, and was also having problems with another family member.
If you’ve seen Webb, call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
