NEWTON, NC — A suspicious tweet on Maggie Daniels’ timeline is raising new concerns about the murdered school counselor’s neighbors.
Daniels tweeted a picture of a text message someone sent her, warning her to “be careful with your neighbor you mentioned,” and, “I would really encourage you to think about a self defense class and give serious consideration to other measures to protect yourself.”
The tweet was posted 11 months ago. Police tell us they’re trying to identify who the neighbor mentioned in the tweet is. A friend found Daniels dead in her Newton apartment last month. Her murder remains a mystery.
