YORK, S.C. — Police say a loaded handgun was found inside a York County Walmart. Authorities say a customer noticed the gun in the men’s bathroom at the Walmart on East Liberty Street in York.
The customer immediately told the store manager who locked the door to the bathroom until police arrived.
The handgun, a gray Smith and Wesson revolver, was found on top of a toilet paper dispenser. The gun had five rounds of ammunition inside.
Police say a man called the police department saying he accidentally left the gun inside the bathroom. No word if charges will be filed.
