Panthers’ Greg Hardy On Trial For Assault Charges

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers’ Greg Hardy is facing a judge Tuesday in reference to his assault on a female and communicating threats charges. Β 

The Panthers’ defensive end entered court Tuesday morning wearing a black suit, tie and dark sunglasses. Β 

His ex-girlfriend, Nicole Holder, accused Hardy of throwing her to the floor and into a bathtub, strangling her, slamming her into a futon that was covered with guns, and treatening to shoot her if she told anyone about the firght.Β 

Prosecutors called several witnesses to the stand Tuesday morning. Β One witness claims she heard screaming, crying and a body slam. Β However, she continued to say she only heard what happened and had a buzz after a night of drinking. Β  Β 

Prosecutors called Holder to the stand around 1 p.m. Β Hardy’s weapons are currently being shown in the court room as evidence. Β 

Hardy has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
