UNION COUNTY, NC — Union County parents are preparing to take the redistricting battle to court.
Β Wednesday, a judge will hear the injunction filed by the group. Β It claims the Board of Education made changes to the redistricting lines behind closed doors. Β The school board’s attorney says members were transparent. Β
Parents hope the injunction will stop a plan to move thousands of students to different schools. Β The Union County school board approved the redistricting plan in March. Β It’s set to take effect this school year.
