Panthers’ Greg Hardy Convicted of Domestic Violence, Files Appeal

CHARLOTTE, NC —Β We’re following a developing story from uptown Charlotte. Β A judge convicted Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy on domestic violence charges Tuesday.

Panthers star Greg Hardy was found guilty of assault on a female and communicating threats. Β A judge sentenced Hardy to 60 days in jail, suspended, and 18 months probation or completion of a rehab program. Β 

Tuesday night, Hardy had already filed an appeal. Β The judge says Hardy lied about a cut on his face and made up part of the story he told 911. Β Investigators say Hardy attacked his on again, off again girlfriend at his uptown condo back in May.
