CHARLOTTE, NC — A rumbling in uptown sent people scurrying out of a building on South Tryon Street Tuesday morning.

Social media was buzzing about the evacuation.  Charlotte Fire says a problem with the building’s air handler system caused the shaking.  Apparently a mechanical belt broke loose.  Workers got the all-clear to go back to work after an hour.
