Morris figured to be the next offensive star leaving campus after receiver Sammy Watkins and quarterback Tajh Boyd when the coordinator’s name was linked to several high-profile head-coaching vacancies for a second-straight year.
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) β Charleston Southern has signed baseball coach Stuart Lake to a four-year contract extension through 2019. The school announced the new deal for Lake on Thursday. Lake has been with the Buccaneers for six seasons and led them to a 30-26 mark this past spring for the team’s most wins since 2000.
OOLTEWAH, Tenn. (AP) β Beau Hossler had a 4-under 68 in a second round that featured eight birdies Thursday to tie Grayson Murray atop the leaderboard at the 108th Southern Amateur. Hossler birdied two of his final three holes at The Honors Course to match Murray’s 36-hole total of 138.
