CHESTER, S.C. – A 16 year old teen was gunned down in the middle of the street on Wednesday night. This was the first murder of the year in Chester.
A driver spotted Shyheim Kennedy’s body on Pinckney Road neer Reedy Street late Wednesday night.
The coroner tells WCCB Charlotte that Kennedy was shot one time.
Kennedy moved away from his hometown, but came back to send the summer with his mother.
Investigators say they are following up on several leads in the case.
