
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The silver alert for missing 73-year-old Fred Ward has been canceled. CMPD says Ward was located unharmed.
Ward was reported missing by his wife Sylvia Ward just before 10 p.m. Saturday at their residence, 9420 Midas Spring Rd.
Ward’s wife said she went to the store around 6:30 p.m. and when she returned home around 8:00 p.m., it appeared that Mr. Ward had left in his white 1992 Honda Accord.
Police say Fred Ward suffers from cognitive issues and was diagnosed with dementia a year ago.
