CHARLOTTE, N.C.- This week’s Waiting Child is funny and outgoing. He has a great laugh and a sweet personality. He’s hoping someone will see his story and want to adopt him. Here’s Elijah’s story.
Meet Elijah. He’s 9 years and says his favorite thing to do is make people laugh, “I live with a girl named Briana, whenever she hears me laugh she busts out laughing. She even fell on the floor one time.”
While on the hayride one animal took a big bite out of Elijah’s arm. Thankfully, Elijah said he didn’t have any teeth, “I kinda liked it when he ate my arm. You liked it? Yeah. What did it feel like? It tickled.”
Elijah likes playing outside, racing bikes with his friends and swimming, “I can swim backwards and underwater and over water like just laying down swimming backwards.”
A family is very important to Elijah. He’s hoping to have a family of his own one day, “A family is people who take care of you, people you care about, and people you can play with, and people that love you.” He hopes a new family will prepare him for the Marines when he gets older.
Elijah tells me he just wants a family to laugh with.
