CLOVER, S.C. — A Clover woman is accused of being under the influence and allowing a 9-year-old to drive her around.
Carol Goforth is in the York County jail. Deputies say a resident called them last Thursday around 5 p.m. The caller stated a drunk woman was asking about a car and then took off with a little girl driving and a toddler on her lap.
The girl is reportedly the daughter of one of Goforth’s friends.
Authorities say this is Goforth’s third DUI arrest. She is charged with driving under the influence, driving under suspension, child passenger restraint violation, permitting unauthorized person to drive and two counts of unlawful neglect of a child.
She remains in jail at this time.
