WASHINGTON, D.C. — New reports Tuesday night that the Russian government was not involved with the shooting down of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17. Β US intelligence officials say there is no direct evidence to show Russia provided the missile. Β
Meantime, the black boxes from Flight 17 are now in the hands of Malaysian officials. Β Voice recordings from the cockpit may show whether the pilots knew the plane had been hit. Β Tuesday night, former Secretary of State Madeline Albright blasted the Russian government.
“We also need to shame and blame publicly, and perhaps begin some kind of a procedure that takes us to the international criminal court. Β These are war crimes,” said Albright.
Wednesday is a day of national mourning in The Netherlands as the bodies of Dutch victims of the crash return home.
