STATESVILLE, N.C. — Aaron Jordan, 22, is wanted on 2nd degree murder charges in relation to the beating death of 70-year-old Robert Dooley on February 22.
Just after midnight, police responded to an assault reported on the 200 block of Chambers Street. They found Dooley suffering from assault injuries. Dooley was taken by EMS to a hospital and he was later taken to Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem with life threatening injuries.
Dooley died later that morning from the injuries.
A warrant was issued for the arrest of Jordan after the Criminal Investigations Division met with the District Attorney’s Office in reference to the investigation.
