MINT HILL, NC: A fight between two men sent one to jail and the other to the hospital.
Mint Hill Police have charged 26 year old Sam Babb Clonts with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury. Clonts is accused of shooting 25 year old Aaron Brandon Allen of Mint Hill. Allen had multiple gunshot wounds when police arrived to the scene on Brush Creek Lane.
Investigators say the two knew each other prior to the shooting and were fighting. Clonts is being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail. Allen is in critical condition at Carolinas Medical Center.
