CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Matthew Wood, 25, died after a shooting at the Dillehay Courts apartments in north Charlotte Wednesday.
Officers say they received a call around 7:35 p.m. in regards to an assault with a deadly weapon. When they arrived on scene they found a male suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot. The victim was transported to Carolinas Medical Center where he later died. Police have not said if they have a suspect in custody.
