CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Singer, Actress and Producer Maria Howell will be in the uptown Novant Health Thanksgiving Parade as an Honorary Grand Marshal this year.
Howell played roles in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Blind Side, What to Expect When You’re Expecting among hit TV series. Howell has also performed with Ray Charles, George Benson and more.
Howell is from Gastonia and attended Winston-Salem University. She started a scholarship charity, “Students Without Mothers,’ that aims to raise money for high school seniors who want to go to college.
Howell says she is proud and honored to participate in the Novant Health Thanksgiving Parade which has a history of giving back to the community.
