
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A house fire broke out at a two-story home at 5442 Kerry Glen Ln. just before 2:30 Saturday.
Investigators are ruling the fire as “undetermined.” The damage is estimated to be between $100,000 and $150,000.
It took 26 firefighters to contain the fire that started on the second floor and spread to the attic.
Firefighters reported seeing fire and smoke when they arrived on scene. They were able to save 75-percent of the home.
A family of three lived at the home and escaped after the smoke detector sounded. The American Red Cross is assisting the two adults and teen.
