GAZA STRIP — Several Ambassadors to the United Nations are meeting this morning to consider a Β resolution that calls for a permanent cease-fire in Gaza. Β
The proposal was drafted by Jordan and condemns `all violence and hostilities against civilians.’
The 72-hour cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, that started Tuesday, is holding steady. Leaders from each side are continuing peace talks in Cairo.
