Florida Man Wanted On Murder Charges Arrested In Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Florida man accused of murdering two people in Orlando Tuesday was arrested in Charlotte Saturday morning.

David Lopez, 32, was wanted on outstanding warrants for two counts of first degree murder and one count of attempted murder.

The investigation was led by US Marshal Service after they found Lopez’s car Friday night at 2534 Marlowe Ave. North Carolina’s Violent Offender Task Force and Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office assisted in locating and arresting Lopez.

Lopez was taken to the Mecklenburg County Jail and charged with felony extradition/fugitive in another state and felony possession of stolen goods or property. He is being held under a $5,000 secured bond pending his court date.
