UPDATE: Police say the driver of the Ford Taurus in this wreck was seen driving erratically on Kilborne Drive shortly before the head-on collision.
An officer attempted to pull the vehicle over but the driver refused and accelerated away from the officer’s patrol car.
The officer immediately stopped his pursuit of the car. A short time later the officer saw the driver of the Ford cross a double-yellow line and hit the other vehicle head-on.
No charges have been filed at this time but the wreck is still under investigation. Police are also reviewing the officers actions to make sure all department policies and procedures were followed.
