FERGUSON, Mo. — Another night of violence and unrest in the city. The Saint Louis post-dispatch reports a man is in critical condition after being shot by a police officer around 2 a.m. our time Wednesday.
The suspect is accused of pointing a gun at the officer. About an hour before the shooting, a woman was shot in the head in what appears to be a drive-by. She’s expected to recover.
These shootings follow days of protests, vigils, and looting stemming from the deadly shooting of an unarmed teen by a police officer on Saturday. The officer, whose name isn’t being released, says shots were fired inside and outside of the squad car. A witness has a different story.
The Department of Justice and Attorney General Eric Holder are looking into the shooting.
