Salisbury Mother Accused Of Leaving Child Alone At Playground While She Drove To Winston-Salem

SALISBURY, N.C. — Police say they arrested a Salisbury mother for leaving her child unattended at a playground while she drove to Winston-Salem.

Investigators say Josephine Bombo left her 10-year-old daughter alone at a playground at the Brookview Apartments.

Police were called the scene because the child was upset and no one could find her mother.

A woman who lived in the apartment complex told police she would watch the child until Bombo returned.

Once Bombo returned, police were called back to the scene because Bombo allegedly punched the woman watching her child.  Investigators have contacted DSS about the case.
