Night of the Iguana

Citizens of the Universe presents Tennessee Williams’ “Night of the Iguana” at UpStage (NoDa), August 27th- 30th at 7:30pm plus August 31st at 3pm and 7:30 pm. Doors open one hour before showing. Regarded as Tennessee Williams‘ last great play, “Night of the Iguana” tells the tale of a defrocked Minister and a woman of exceptional kindness who- while stuck at a crumbling Mexican hotel- navigate faith, sex, and sin in an attempt to save one another before they reach the end of their road. Mix in the local help, some Nazis, a love struck teen, her furious chaperone, and the world’s oldest poet and you’ll have a night that no one can forget. Directed by Megan Sky (COTU, ‘Merry Wives’).
