Dumais adds to his collection of national titles

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) β€” Four-time Olympian Troy Dumais won the men’s 3-meter title and Samantha Bromberg took the women’s 10-meter crown Saturday in the U.S. diving championships.

Dumais, from Ventura, California, posted 492.3 points to win his 15th national title in a 3-meter event and his 36th national championship overall. Bromberg, a Texas sophomore from Bexley, Ohio, had 368.15 points to win the national title in the women’s 10-meter for a second straight year.

Toby Stanley of Noblesville, Indiana, and Mark Anderson of Lake Forest, California, teamed up to win the men’s synchronized 10-meter title with 383.4 points. Ariel Rittenhouse of Santa Cruz, California, and Amanda Burke of Southampton, Pennsylvania, won the women’s synchronized 3-meter with 311.70 points.

The national championships, sponsored by AT&T, conclude Sunday at the University of Tennessee.
