CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An eight-year-old boy drowned in a pool at the Apartment complex on Chasewood Drive Saturday night.
Police say the boy was with relatives who they believe to be his cousins. The minors jumped over a fence to get to the pool that was closed for the night.
The boy got in the water and that’s when he started struggling. The relatives went to a neighbor’s house where police were called.
A witness performed CPR on the boy before Medic arrived just after 8 p.m.
Medic continued the CPR and the boy was taken to CMC-Main where he died.
The boy’s name has not been released.
