
UPDATE: Sarah Whitner was found safe and returned home to her family.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are searching for a 80-year-old woman that was last seen on Randolph Road.
Officers say Sarah Whitner is suffering from cognitive issues and dementia. She was reported missing by family members early Monday morning. Whitner’s daughter told police she was possibly looking for her dog that had run off. The dog was later located by Animal Control.
Sarah, who also goes by “Salley,” was last seen driving her 2009 silver/champagne colored Mini Cooper with NC Tag BMA-2096. She is described as being 5’2″, weighing 105 pounds, and has gray hair and blue eyes. If anyone has seen Ms. Whitner, they are asked to call 911 immediately.
