Checkers 5k Run & Walk

Registration is now open for the third annual Charlotte Checkers 5K Run & Walk, which will take place Saturday, Nov. 29. The race, which benefits the Checkers Charitable Foundation, is on a certified course that will begin and end at Pearle St. Park just south of uptown Charlotte and includes a post-race party presented by Bud Light. The early-bird cost for registration (now until Nov. 7) is $30 and includes a ticket to that night‘s Checkers game, a performance t-shirt and goodie bag. The registration price increases to $35 on Nov. 8 and to $40 on the day of the race. Participants will also have the opportunity to purchase additional tickets to that night‘s Checkers game for $15 each. The event will also feature a Fun Run for kids, presented by Family Talk. Registration for the Fun Run is $5 and includes a special Checkers medal for all participants. The post-race party will feature snacks, drinks and music. Additionally, Chubby and the CheckMates will be on hand to cheer on participants.
