Β SHELBY, NC —Β A year-long investigation into prescription drug fraud ended with the arrest of a local doctor And 28 other people.
Cleveland County sheriff’s deputies arrested Dr. Steven Skorman at his office in Shelby. Β He specializes in foot and ankle surgery. Β Dr. Skorman is accused of prescribing excessive amounts of powerful drugs to people who didn’t need them. Β
The investigation in the doctor began with a tip last August.
