Obama to Address American Legion in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — White House officials have confirmed that President Obama is expected to speak in Charlotte on Tuesday. A statement released from the White House Press Office on Friday said Obama will deliver remarks at the American Legion’s 96th National Convention.

The statement said more details about the event will be made in the next few days.

In addition to the president, North Carolina Senators Kay Hagan and Richard Burr will also address the group on Tuesday.

Obama last visited the area last summer in Mooresville.
