Bicyclist Hit By Car In South Charlotte Taken To Hospital

 CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A bicyclist was taken emergency to CMC after being hit by a car on Rea Road just after 9:30 a.m. Sunday. 

Reports say a man was riding a road bike along Rea Road when a woman in a Honda Accord struck him while trying to turn left on to Piper Glenn Drive. 

A witness said the impact threw the man from his bike onto the windshield before hitting the ground. 

No charges have been released at this time.
